Helpful Information

After a heart and or lung transplant transplant it is sometimes difficult to find an insurance company who will not only cover you, but do so at a reasonable price.   We have built up a database of companies who offer cover and have all been recommended by our members.

It is worth pointing out that the BHLTA has no connection with any of the insurance companies listed below.   We are not endorsing any company or their products .   We simply give the information so that it may help you find the insurance cover for your needs.

We look forward to hearing of other companies so we can add them to our database for everyone's benefit.

Manor Insurance, recommended by Janet Long, Graham Marsh & Ellie Irwin.

A personal message from Ian Mantel who is a director of Manor Insurance:-

"I formed the business in 1990 and we retain a family feel (or so I like to think). We deal with three different insurers for persons with pre-existing medical conditions. Our upper age limit for annual policies is 85 and for single trip cover 110. We offer long stay cover as well, up to 18 months away for under 65year olds dropping down to no more than 4 months away for those aged 75 plus.

Johnnie Walker mentioned us on his BBC Radio 2 programme and we have also been highlighted on BBC2 Working Lunch.

Customers of ours took the time to write to the BBC One Show recently after they did a piece on travelling with medical conditions."
